Tarnicus: Looks like the refunds are coming... http://steamcommunity.com/app/237550/discussions/0/846961716282417593/
If that's the case.. then this time Steam receives a thumbs up from me. I agree, it's inexcusable to sell a broken game. I can live with small bugs (like the disappearing car trunk in F2 :D)... but there are bugs which render a game unplayable and those should not be in a finished product.

Crosmando: This whole affair of the RoA remake has made me very depressed, it's also probably killed an hopes of Star Trail and Riva being remade too.

jamotide: Look on the bright side, maybe they will have to sell the rights to someone who is better at making remakes like katauri or ino-co.
they can change devs but if the publisher is still the same...
Looks like I'm getting a refund :)

:(
i was really hoping a remake of the entire series will be done..

now even the first game is not finished...

i'm still thinking of buying this game, when i get a new job..
My refund has gone through :)
Good, that is the best way to let publishers know that this sort of release strategy doesn't fly. And apparently it has already had some effect. Yesterday the dev started this thread:

http://translate.google.de/translate?sl=de&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=de&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.nordlandtrilogie.de%2Findex.php%3Fpage%3DThread%26threadID%3D3935%26pageNo%3D1

They are urgently looking for someone to test if its possibly to complete the game with the newest patch from start to finish. Seems like either the publisher UIG or the license holder Chromatrix gave them some sort of deadline to make the game completeable.

Tarnicus: Honestly I can't understand how people accept and excuse this sort of bullshit. Maybe I'm idealistic thinking that I should get a working game that is beyond alpha stage when I pay a decent amount for it, and not accept excuses like "oh but it is a small dev team" or "the English version will be patched and working in good time" or "there's no manual but there will be one soon" but I liken this to ordering a cup of coffee without a cup. I understand that games take love, time and effort. I understand that bugs can be common across various platforms. I don't understand how this game can be released in the state it is in, and how Steam has been refusing refunds.

I won't bar Steam, I have too much invested in it but seriously fuck apologists and fanboys for a seriously poorly coded piece of shit game that isn't playable! The only way I can make this better for myself is to:

a/ NEVER pre-order anything again, and
b/ never give a cent to this bullshit company for ANYTHING they make

Yes you can tell I'm pissed for choosing the wrong game on my birthday :( (yes venting makes me feel better unless Steam resolves this issue, which from other posts I can tell will not happen)
Your very right about that and strangest thing is it get accepted. Its like going to a restaurant and getting half baked food.
If need be, one can always contact support via their website if they need assistance with the game
