if i already have a key for a game that is on GOG can i just use the key i have to get it for free?

No. This site doesn't work like that. The only game you can get like that at all is Witcher 1 or 2.

No. You'd have to have the game added to your account and they're not likely to do that unless you buy a copy.
GOG only provides CD keys for games that require them for online play, for the other games its usually stripped from the game.
