I have questions regarding these two games.

Anvil of Dawn
At first I really liked this game and it got me quite interested, but I have played it for a bit by now and throughout the dungeon I am currently in(tree of life) I kinda lost it. Everything just seems very redundant, the chests just seem to keep me on par with the fiends I encounter(the dmg% reduce of the armour and the likes).

The resulting question might be a bit flat, but is it really worth it to continue this game?

Sword of the Stars: The Pit

1. Are the coded messages associated to different difficulty levels. Can all the messages be found on easy or(as I assume), can some only be found on higher difficultys?
2. When would you guys recommend to add Mindgames? I finished the game on easy(just wanted to get some recipes with the engineer but ended up having a very lucky run) and now I am wondering if I should switch to Mindgames before really getting everything in the regular game(since there are also some changes like the stash-box) or would you recommend seizing the regular game a bit more first?

Probably not. The gameplay stays the same all the way through.

1. Only the first 50 messages can be found on easy. On any other difficulty, you can find the rest of them (and there are a lot).

2. There isn't really an ideal time to switch from the base game to the expansion. If you want to be challenged, switch over. If you want to try the two new classes, switch over. But, if you want to find more things out easily, then wait. I really recommend Mind Games, even though it kicks my butt.

Is it more interesting with a magic based character or does that become rather tedious? I am kinda interested in the storage feature already since I often find myself in a situation where I find either to many or barely any weapons at all... (all other features aside) how is the set up for mindgames thought, there are 10 additional stages that come after the last stage of the standard game or are they mixed in already and the regular ending just comes after the very last stage of the x+10?

I have heard it is harder. Is it just more enemys, or did they increase the states, or is it something else?


Also, would anyone happen to know if the requirement of mindgames are really higher than those of the base game, or is it just a pre-emptive raise....

The expansion goes to level forty, but now there are some levels that have 2 exits, one leading to the biome (imagine Jurassic Park) and another continuing in the standard levels.

The storage feature had been changed a couple of updates ago, so it's only of benefit for brand spanking new characters, but you can outfit them and start from levels 5, 10, 15, and so on. There are tesseract wells that give your character a magic box (ala Resident Evil) where you can deposit stuff and retrieve it when you find another.

I'm not sure what makes it so difficult. The enemies are definitely more challenging, along with the sheer amount of random badness that can happen.

As far as system requirements, I haven't noticed a difference really.

FWIW, it doesn't get better. You would still explore the same dungeons, fight the same monsters, find the same stuff. As a sword dude, you click on monsters with various weapons and use spells purely for entertainment. As a magic dude, you find a set of armor that makes Iron Fist of Chaos super effective and use other spells purely for entertainment.

That being said, I love Anvil of Dawn, so I can't in good faith say it becomes tedious. But since you didn't like it, retrying with a caster probably wouldn't help.
