It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hi All,
I have been having the problem of slow downloads for a while now. When I download using browser I can hit around 50kb/s but I am lucky to hit 30 kb/s using the downloader. Both speeds are a lot slower than usual - I am on a 3/5 meg connection (fluctuates between) and on average I can get 250kb/s when downloading using firefox.
Specs:
Firefox
Windows 7 Ult
Ethernet --> Powerline HDX101 --> Router (D-Link DIR-615)
Hope this is enough info. Cheers
PS Do I have to set up portforwarding? If so, what are the ports?

Any anti-virus switched on or other real-time scanner?

I have/had on nod32 antivirus with realtime scan. Switched it off speed is now 30-50kbs which is still slow but obviously better than 20-30.
Update : Left on the downloader for about an hour and now the rate is around 70-100. Must be an isp related issue, although this is the first time it has ever reached this speed.
