I spent $100 on a 600w PSU when I upgraded to a 2.5 quadcore to keep my system stable, even though it runs a 9500GT, single HDD and single DVD burner. The reasons for this is in case I get a better vidcard later on down the road or better CPU. But the thing is quality as others stated, if the PSU blows it could take a fancy Mobo or GPU with it and that costs more than the pricey PSU. I had 3 cheap generics blow on me in a year and it's not funny when it takes down a mobo with it.......
