Requirements(changed as necessary to meet new accepted ideas) -

+Must write a post every 5-7 days.....at least 1 paragraph long.
+Must remain in character during most of the story, but minor 4th wall breaking might be allowed if funny and it tries to fit with the story somewhat ....also if one must talk offtopic or out-of-character to a good extent that can be brought here if need be.
+If adding a new NPC for some reason(to further your story or the main storyline) please ask in PM for OP approval first to make sure it won't disrupt or conflict with the main storyline in any way
+Love of roleplays and writing to some degree(optional but preferred)

I will also possibly be making this a short one to test the waters, and if it is successful i'll expand it into bigger areas and more developed storylines with more NPCs/etc

2. My best friend is a Gnomish inventor
3. I live in a cave, the Gnome lives in a cave nearby... lol
4. I'm a wolfrider (I have a large and powerful but kind-hearted pet wolf that I ride)
5. I'm good at tracking, trapping and scouting, with knowledge of many of the peoples and creatures of this world.
6. Two weapons of choice: repeating crossbow (primary) and mace (secondary)
7. I also carry bombs and potions created by my Gnome friend
8. I'm towards the "tech" side.
How is that for weird

Pick a character and gimme a basic writeup of their background and traits like Stoic has done.
It might later on but at the start it's mainly less air-bound devices. :\
Still this does not rule them out being included in the story at some point, as discoveries in ancient dwarven/gnomeish ruins or some such, or as new technological advances as the story goes on.

I was thinking about a ex-skyship captain.
1. Occupies the grey area between pirate and privateer, however he has been labeled as the former and outlawed. Don't call him a pirate, though. He avoids notice by officials but is not actively pursued.
2. Very well travelled and well connected but has lost both ship and crew as well as any previous wealth.
3. Skilled in navigation, tactics, and trade.
4. Carries a (flintlock?) pistol. (Innacurate at range and good for only a preemptive strike or intimidation) and sword. No real armor. Perhaps a familiar and a few aces up the sleeve.
5. Gruff personality but loves to cause trouble.
If this is too far then I can scrap it but I will continue to fine tune for now.

I love writing. I'll try to post, although I'll be on dial up internet which won't even let me post. But I'm very interested in doing this! Can it be fantasy based, maybe? ;)

I guess my character will be a girl, that plays off as an innocent child, but is more mature than she lets on, if that's okay.
1. I'm very good with charming/persuasion.
2. People don't see me as a threat, because they write me off as just a little girl.
3. I have some kind of magical properties, like able to cast spells, that no one expects. (Instead of being a melee type).
4. I can talk with animals, and convince many to fight for me.
5. No one knows where she came from, or how old she is, since she was just abandoned on the street and fends for herself.
Is that okay?
