I love Zero Punctuation, I even bought a damn shirt. I wear it with pride.
Also, anyone played his Chzo Mythos games? Cool stuff if you're into the point + click adventure stuff like me.
Ah, that Yahtzee and his humor. :D
I liked his Painkiller review because it allows me to legitimately say "I liked Painkiller before Yahtzee made it cool." I feel like a big man.
It's one of my top 10 (possibly top 5) games of all time; you should've heard me gushing when it first came out: "Seriously, it's the most videogame videogame ever! You'll love it. It's so unashamedly trashy, like a distillation of everything that's ever been awesome about action games so far. It's almost like a parody! You know those ridiculous fake games they show on TV when they want to show that a character's playing a violent videogame? It's like one of those. It's the exact game the media thinks we've been playing all along. It's brilliant" and so on and so forth
In conclusion, Yahtzee is great (Angry Videogame Nerd, not so much, and it baffles me how often he's mentioned in the same breath)

AVGN isn't for video game reviews, it's a character for comedy purposes. It's funny how angry he gets at such a stupid video game. Yahtzee though.. he's questionable.. is it a character or does he really care so much about a video game?
Even though I think Zero Punctuation with Yahtzee has done the equivalent of 'Jumping the Shark', I still watch it.
It's more hit and miss nowadays, but good for the Thursday laughs.
I don't mind AVGN, pretty entertaining but not really the same thing as ZP.
i like the screw attack videos though, and i'd guess alot of people on here do too. they review old random console games, really nostalgic! :D

I'm willing to bet the answer is "yes."
Yahtzee is pretty awesome. I really like his humor, even though I'm not a fan of bashing games solely for the sake of bashing them, like I view most of his negative reviews.
I'm sometimes under the impression that his "show" started going a bit downhill the moment they added an opening theme...
In any event, Zeropunctuation is still a nice view and Yahtzee is undoubtedly a master of what he does and I still enjoy his ramblings a lot (as long as he doesn't bash GOG.com to a pulp!).
Plus, as long as I'm a GOG.com employee, I will make sure that one day Fantasy Island Dizzy will appear in our catalogue. ;)

If you add Fantasy World Dizzy or Treasure Island Dizzy to GOG.com you will become one of my favourite people ever. (I'll rank you just slightly above H.G. Wells...)
Yahtzee isn't really a reviewer; he's basically a comedian who does a routine/rant about games.
I watched a couple of his early videos, and they weren't really my thing.

DrStoopid: Both of these games have something in common. Namely, they were initailly written by small dev teams with the aim of making a fun game. Not sponsored by big publishers only looking to make money. I say "initially" because at some point, Valve took on Portal but I think by that point, it was too late for it to be ruined.

Some big companies (e.g. Valve, Rockstar, Epic, iD) don't ruin games. Although admittedly these companies have their indie roots which could be the reason why they have such a focus on making genuinely great games.
But to say that Valve would've ruined Portal had they the opportunity to do so is unjustified. In fact, Valve hand picked the Portal team because of their ingenuity and subsequently gave them the chance to polish and fully realize their creation.

Dude... nice going with the whole making me cut and paste URLs. Also raising the undead threads is not cool. You'll unleash an outbreak of undead everywhere.

It's part of his evil master plan. He's an urban zombie, see? Maybe that's why he still thinks 1337 is cool :-/
Sorry zombie ;-)

I couldn't risk not consistently getting "Urban Zombie" on every board I register on, so I threw some numbers in (it was cool at the time) and I'm too lazy to start using something else.
