Bought The Witcher 2 yesterday when it was ~12 dollars, and today it is down to 7.5 dollars.

Sucks when you're not patient. :)
=(

the game is very good though.
Witcher 2 is awesome, bought it for full price and I don't regret it. At least you have supported a witcher cause :-P
I've done that before, i'm waiting till the last minute to buy stuff in-case it gets a bigger discount (im bad i know)

Ye, I know. I was / am happy with yesterday's price, and even thought about waiting for a daily deal, but in the end just said, screw that, and bought it.

And here it comes to haunt me back!

(its not about the amount of money, but my unreasonable acting even though I thought about the possibility of TW2 being a daily deal.)

EDIT: It has happened a few times with other purchases, and I learned to avoid rushing, but I failed yet again. :)

I hope you enjoy the game. Play on a harder difficulty, it's more fun that way. My oppinion.
I bought it on release day here on GOG and paid full price for it

Worth every cent

Think that with the extra payment they can make a better The Witcher 3 :))).
As with the Steam sales, ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS wait to the last day to buy a game at standard discount, in case it ends up on a daily deal during the sale's run. The only possible exception is anything at 75% off or more (these generally don't get cheaper), but for anything else you should Wishlist until JANUARY 3. Buy Daily Deals as they come because those won't get any cheaper.

Hope this thread serves as a warning.

and this is why I don't really get the point of having daily deals AND a general sale. Perhaps if you would get store credit for the titles you bought during the sale before they became a daily deal (or something similar), I could see the combination working. But now it's just an uncomfortable combination.

I agree with you.

Don't wait too long, though! Not all of the games will be on sale for the entire promo.

Link. At least they'll be giving us a heads-up, though.
I'm very tempted by it, but I probably should restrain myself as I know it'll be at least another two years before I'll actually be able to run it. My current lappie would get a heart attack just by looking at it.
My computer cannot withstand the sheer epicness of this game. It crashes. >.<
Yeah I remember going through that situation again.

I think it was Alone in the Dark 1+2+3 but at least the game was worth it.
