Might as well just change the name from Good Old Games to something in relation to Indie games because that's nearly all I've seen in months. I mean who want's this garbage over the highly demanded titles like System Shock or Morrowind? Not me and it looks like I'm gonna have to download the steam version of Morrowind and just be screwed out of the mod support.

You can get a GOTY disc version dirt cheap.

I know what you mean about some of the recent releases though, I am however hopeful that in the coming weeks we get some nice old games,
I have nothing against indies but when people say "We want new titles" we mean "We want new AAA titles"

Whatever happened to those "Premium" editions that GOG was talking about when Assassin's creed and HOMM5 were released here?

People want big name and popular games to appear here, if all you are giving us from the new games are Indies then people aren't going to care much, GOG
Saw that on Amazon but wasn't sure about how it would run on Windows 7 64 bit. Only reason I haven't Gotten it already.

When you drop a gimmick and want to become a normal digital distributor just like dozens of others - actual competition starts. And that's a problem for GOG when at this particular time in gaming history not that many people give a shit about DRM.

Today's release is a faithful remake of a game from 198 actual 4! Hello!
I think, though, that GOG are stockpiling the goodness for after the summer slump (people are out on holiday, picnicking and generally enjoying the weather rather than gaming indoors, damn them! People!) so hold your complaints until Sept when 'This week on GOG' is back, if things don't get better at that point then nuke Warsaw!

To be honest, I think that more people actually care about DRM than you think, but that there are many people who either don't know about it, or who've heard about it but don't know what it's about. Just a few days ago I was talking to someone, and he thought GOG was an abandonware site :/

I doubt it, I think this particular vocal minority will remain a minority. Maybe will become less vocal.

But what do I know. If neither of us dies in the next ten years, the picture should be much clearer by then.

Last question is will I need some kind of patch, dll file or configuration tweaking? I don't mind if I know what to do and how to do it but that's also why I prefer GOG. It usually has a working version already with little or no work on my part to get it running properly. I gave up on Command and Conquer (all of them up to Tiberian Sun) and that game is solely the reason I'm so edgy about buying pc titles nowadays.

I only agree with this part of your post . Sadly the GOG magic vanished through the last months . The only thing left is another ordinary digital download store without any special release . :(
