So I've been buying a fair few games on GOG recently and I have to say I've been a little disappointed in some. I love reading reviews before purchase and it's usually the truest (if not the only way) to get a clear indication of what a game is like but this is starting to prove a problem.
On GoG most of the purchases appear to be Nostalgia-Driven and people who played certain games from the start (when they were younger and such) will always have a place for them in their hearts which leads reviews to be unclear because instead of rating the game for the game-play/graphics ect people seem to be reviewing what a great childhood these games gave them; which is great but really unhelpful for people buying these games on a first time basis.
I think most reviews on this site are 80% nostalgia and only 20% actually about the game, and as nice as it is to know other people enjoyed games the same way I did in my childhood; it'd be nice to get gamers reviews on the actual game instead of just the memory of it.

Am I the only one that is thinking this?
