Redemption isn't anywhere near as good as Bloodlines, but it's also a completely different kind of RPG, it's basically a Diablo action RPG. It had really atmospheric and beautiful levels, for its time, and pretty decent stats system and a really good story and characters. Weak points being the combat wasn't fun..and there is a LOT of combat..and the interface and camera were wonky.

Wolfox: That's a fantastic idea. A GOG multiplayer RPG session. But who would DM it?

As I was telling Alisalpha, if you ever put together a coterie, I'll be sure to tag along, drop me a line through RafaelLVx@gmail.com.

Oh, that's in the game folder after you install it (at least in the CD version), that's where I got Redemption mp3s from.

Whoa! :)
I signed up to this site 4 days ago after having it recommended to me by a friend, I've already gone and bought 5 games, this site is asbolutely *immense*!
Layout, prices, content and the streamlined simplicity of it all, superb!
Anyways, I've already played 'Bloodlines' and loved it to bits, I also enjoy my action RPG's and the universe this game is set in so the decision to buy was a no-brainer.
Something else that grabbed my attention though... this isn't the first game on this site to do so either, is the fact that I had to forgoe this title back in the day, due to my shitty PC and paper round not covering all the bases needed to play. Roll on a decade and it's all change! >:D

Definitely a must-buy for me. This is one of the games that has been on my wishlist for GOG for some time! I'm so glad it's available again!
I remember this came out around the same time as Diablo 2 and I played this first... after finishing this and being blown away by the graphics and gameplay (two different time periods = win) I never understood the praise Diablo 2 got in comparison to this under rated gem.
I'll probably hate the game now that my tastes have evolved, but I can't wait to play it again and find out how it stands up to my nostalgia.

RafaelLopez: I'll respect your opinion of not liking the game at all, but I find the statement that the game has bad graphics of "didn't aged well" harsh! The game has the coolest graphics of that time and is immensely playable.

It may be only mine opinion but I find that early 3d graphic just doesn't age well, something about all these squares and rough edges make it look unappealing. You know - if you make something around cutting edge technology you must expect that it will be surpassed. Especially when the technology is young and there is much to improve - like 3d graphics. 2d of these times age better. For example at the same time - in 2000 - Planescape Torment came out and it still looks gorgeous. Or diablo 2 - 640x480 res at the time, people complained on it's visual (thought I may be alone in this one, people still kinda do:)).
I'm not saying that game looked bad. Or looks bad. It is just not beautiful anymore. Since it was main appeal for me back then (I still fondly remember demo level, just because of the visuals) game lost a lot imo.
great action rpg!
innstant buy despite of having box version!
i strongly recomend this one to everyone. THX GOG and Activision for such a wonderful game for such a nice price! [6$ i'ts like for free!]
oh - and check planetVampire out! :)
Instant purchase. Never experienced but have Bloodlines boxed (although would purchase again on GoG!). Plus it's vampires. Win all round I'd say.
Very nice game. I have this boxed. I used to play it some time ago and I was very pleased.
It may be a little bit challenging, but the story is very very good.
On a side note, I just found the original manual for Vampire Redemption when I was going through a box.

Kakihara: We need to get some people together for this. I've only ever played this singleplayer and the multiplayer seemed at the time this strange and inaccessible... thing.

That is the one difficulty with multiplayer. Its definitely not the brainless shoot-em-up kind of multiplayer that has become so common of late, so it might not be to everyone's taste. It is very much centered around the way you play a tabletop PnP RPG, so unless you get a good DM as well as good roleplayers, it can suck. But when the stars align right and you get in with a good bunch of players, it is fantastic.

acare84: Awesome but give us a soundtrack of this title too. I love this game's soundtrack.

As stated above - the game soundtrack is already available in game files as mp3s.
I really enjoyed this game back few years ago. It's a linear hack&slash but it definitely has it's charm. However I found medieval levels to be much more interesting. And on my first walk-through I had to use cheats for the last boss because I spent my experience points wrong (How could I miss Prison Of Ice).
