We're not all Australian, but there are quite a few Linux/Wine users here. Make sure you add the games that you can run in Wine to the Wine compatibility thread.

aluinie: Also loved the music and the intro was well done

Yes, the music is really beautiful in this game. It's one of the best game soundtracks I've heard.
These are great releases, I own them all and advise everyone to buy the pack.

gambit_006: it a cross between and rpg and rts, a bit like warcraft you build and collect resources build units upgrade, etc. For me a perfect blend. Your main Character that you start with levels up as you gain experience and get better weapons, armour, spells etc. at this price it's a steal...

JudasIscariot: How is the gameplay? Smooth and fluid or somewhat overwhelming?

I dont play these kinds of games at all and I found it really easy with the tutorial. Its pretty much identical to the Sacrifice tutorial..I think it might even be the same dudes voice. Everything runs beautifully. :)

I played Spellforce 2: Dragon Wars and it was great. A perfect blend of RTS and RPG. Some maps you went around with your party exploring and defeating opponents similar to an action RPG, and others the enemy was more powerful so it required you to build up an army first so the base building/resource gathering RTS gameplay kicks in. I originally bought it for my son as a birthday present but ended up playing it too.
I bought the Platinum edition of Spellforce after enjoying SF2 so much, but haven't finished the first game yet and haven't touched either expansion. I am seriously considering buying the GOG version just to have it DRM free and if they get Spellforce 2 I will probably get that too.
I've been looking forward to this release based on what other members here have said about the game. I made sure to buy the game this morning before I went to work so that I wouldn't have to wait for the download once I got home this evening. Just need to grab some dinner then it's time to jump into the game.
I'll get this one as soon as my paycheck drops by. Sounds like a really good deal. Thx GOG!
I have the game (well, my sis does now) and I recall the voice acting being horrendous. The gameplay itself was quite interesting though, but then again, I never got too far cause my computer back then was a bit too weak for the game.
Am considering giving it a go again soon :P

Hey, seems to work so far, though the tutorial got stuck at one point and wouldn't go any further. Some scripting problem. The graphics are a bit slow on my Dell XPS M1330 even with compiz turned off so I'll probably save this game till later (or try it under windows) or try turning the gfx right down. Anyway I guess it works!

From the tutorial anyway the voice acting seemed pretty good. A bit whack in parts but otherwise nice. The main characters accent seemed spot on.

Did we play the same tutorial? I personally thought that most of the voice acting in the tutorial was atrocious. So far in the campaign proper it's been passable, but not anywhere near what I'd consider good.

Perhaps you have very high standards. :)
