What seems really fishy is that they had the code to use dedicated servers and the lean feature in the game, as well as 360 code laying around. 360 code? What lazy, shoddy programming!
Saw this video a while ago, very cool. Fun fact: since it's ranked by IWNet anyway, you'd theoretically be able to have insane EXP for one shot and all that.
"OLOL IT NO PORT, HAS MOUSE SUPPORT AND TEXT CHAT!"
It's worth mentioning that it's not actually dedicated servers at all. They've found a way of connecting by IP to a machine running a copy of the game, which means you can decide who the host is based on location, computer specs and connection speed, but it's still not a dedicate server (at best, it's a listen server rather than a matchmaking host).
This is the only reason why the games are still ranked, too.

Man, I've laughed so hard when I read that. And graphics options. And 9v9.
I would play that lovely, for fun. But it will take some time for a real server. Until that the game is milked again, with that ghost expansion/whatever.
Up until the mission in the Russian estate, I thought that Ghost was Gaz from the first game, assuming he had survived being shot. I couldn't remember if he was shot in the chest or if he was the one shot in the head. I honestly didn't think his role was large or expanded enough to warrant having his own game, though I did think his Balaclava was badass.
I'd rather have a game featuring Makarov rising through the ranks of the Ultranationalist faction, and the battles he fought to make him such a ruthless bastard.
Check this out if you want dodgy goings on. Still not sure if its future DLC or just cut features but will find out in the future.
