Yep - Remember it well. I enjoyed it when it came out and completed it. Still have the original but have not tried it on a newer machine.

There was a game actually called that? Man I thought asking the guy at Target if they had Gradius was tough.

I did research on this because it was a D&D game, which I was looking (well, still looking) to make a video series on.

As far as I can tell it plays like Betrayal of Krondor and M&M7, with more of a gameplay leniency to Eye of the Beholder, though generally rather clunky. There were a lot of those games back then it seemed, and only a little while ago I thought Elder Scrolls was the only one in that regard! Probably still the best out of gameplay though.

I would hope that GoG could procure every D&D game, which Wizards of the Coast seems interested in doing as evidenced by their recent re-release of the Saturn-only Chronicles of Mystara. Like seriously, get the GoldBox games on here. You could package the Pool of Radiance saga like Might and Magic and put the rest into a separate pack. Menzo also had a sequel, as I recall.

Don't think it had a sequel, but the Ravenloft games uses the same engine.

As you can see, still many many games to go. I don't believe there's anything prior to 98, which I find very sad indeed. It would be especially cool if we could get Forgotten Realms: Unlimited Adventures too and spark that community back up. But some of the later ones should not be as hard to procure, I'd think? You can never know, really.

I have it on cd as part of a brilliant collection that included the pools of radiance gold box series and eye of the beholder series. I never considered playing it. Is it any good?

I would buy FRUA in a heartbeat. I know there is a sourceforge project recreating it. It used to be called Forgotten Realms Unlimited Adventures Forever, but now it is called Dungeoncraft.

Dungeon Hack is another fun D&D game that is often ignored.

Dungeon Hack was fun to play with - I used it to teach my three young girls how to dungeon crawl at the time. Let them create the dungeon and have at it.
