I think Manhunt 1 was a good game. It had tense atmosphere, and gameplay was basic, but everything about it worked.
I have it for Wii, got it second-hand for $10. The wiimote+nun-chuck combo works really well, with satisfying sound effects. I actually prefer the game with the camera filter during the executions, it makes it a lot more gritty than playing without it (I've played it without it, my Wii's softmodded).

Altogether though, it's a 7/10 game.
One of my favorite games. It's awesome :D
I have had the game for the PS2 since the time it came out and I might be the crazy person here, but I thought it was a pretty good game all things considered. Yeah it has shock value but the disturbing executions and general atmosphere create this really interesting experience of a stealth game. My only wish is that this series could be revisited and given a much better stealth mechanic that is not too dissimilar to Thief.
I liked Manhunt when it was all melee weapons and stealth kills, but there came a point when all the enemies started having guns, and then you had to use guns to kill them which completely ruined the stealth aspect. As a result, I lost interest and never did finish it.

Yeah, that's what ruined Serious Sam. :P
Manhunt is one of my favorite games. It comes down to atmosphere for me. Hunting and being hunted. Spent many a late evening immersed in that game. One thing (exploding propane canisters aside) that would've made it cooler for me would've been the ability to set up traps (a la Deception). I like the second one as well, though not quite as much as the first.
One of my favourite games, it's a great way to let off some steam.
Ignoring the violence crap it's actually a pretty good sneaker, if you can accept original Xbox limitations ported to the PC. The sequel wasn't bad either, I finished both games. Great mood and level design, just very console-y.
still have my boxed copy using the "Greatest Hits"brand.

[EDIT]decided to remove the pic.
