I had a small collection once, and it was interesting. A load of goblin warriors that were weak as water, but it helped me survive long battles simply because the point limit was so low per unit.

Has anyone here played it?

Edit: as nobody has replied to this thread, i might as well add my write up about it, just in case anyone is even remotely interested in it: http://www.squidoo.com/lord-of-the-rings-warhammer

Just a quick bump in case theres a chance theres a warhammer fan out there somewhere!
I'm a huge Warhammer fan.
I have played the Lord of the Rings game, but didn't really get on with it.
It seems designed for fairly big battles, or at least that's how GW seem to encourage it (Probably to make you buy more models) but it works much better as a skirmish game.
They did publish some RPG ish skirmish rules (called Battle Companies) that work much better than the full wargame.

One problem i had was that the person i played against had warg riders, and they seemed to have too low a unit usage, and too high an attack rate. Of course, he could have been cheating, i was relying on his knowledge of the rules.

I haven't actually played normal warhammer, but i have seen some big collections. Some of the vehicles are HUGE! And expensive too!
