And it's on sale too. I tried the demo long ago, and recently bought it when the new patch came out.
It's a very soothing and pretty medtroidvania, with some ambient exploration but also combat. This is good news that it's made it to Steam.
I recommend it, to those looking for a nice indie game or medtroidvania to play.
It'll be better if these good indie games made it on GOG, wouldn't it? :P
However, it seems pretty interesting.

They're not old yet!
$19.99 is too high for me for an indie game. Anyway I must try the demo first.
Another nice little indie title is http://somersault-game.com . Basically, you draw paddles to guide the little ball guy through the levels. Quite enjoyable and reasonably prices at $15 (no, I haven't bought it yet, I'll need a bit more time to finish the demo first).

As well as World of Goo at http://2dboy.com/games.php, which is DRM-free to boot.

and be pirated to hell and back as a result.
Could be ,could be.... but that doesn't mean we'll have to, does it? Whenever I'll find the time, I'll give it a try. And if I like it, I'll buy it.

I was going to mention the "90%" piracy number, but working in the industry myself, having DRM doesn't mean your game won't be "pirated to hell and back" too, just because you have it. (As 2D Boy stated in their blog about Ricochet, which had DRM but which was estimated to have the same 90% piracy rate number.)
In other words, I suppose I'm trying to say that DRM only affects honest customers, not the pirates, since the pirates are going to be able to play the game without the DRM once it's cracked. And every PC game gets cracked. So what really is the point of DRM, again? There's really no point to it, except for potentially causing problems or inconveniences for honest customers.
I loved Cave Story, which was one of the more fantastic indie metroidvania games that have been ever released.. do you think I'd like this?
I mostly enjoyed Cave Story because imo that playstyle is best on a handheld...
I'm contemplating buying Aquaria after playing a bit of the demo last night. It has a much more soothing effect than most games and I could use a more relaxing game after heavy stressful sessions of Left 4 Dead.

To screw up the resale market
