Potzato: Why OP has been low rated ? I really don't understand people downrating something they don't agree with, and the worse thing is that most of the dowraters didn't express their opinion in this thread (there is approximatively 2 people in this thread who really don't agree with OP and even if they downvoted both I don't think I would see the low rated indicator)

I didn't updown vote anything in this thread. Can people who downrated explain their point of view to me ?
I've noticed a lot of that going on lately, pretty lame. I'll click a thread and the OP is rated down into oblivion for no reason I can see. GOG is always getting more popular and there are probably many more lurkers now rating everything down and never posting. Maybe a little tweak to the system like not allowing a rating unless you've replied in the thread.

On topic, I've never heard of this person and everyone else has already covered what I was going say. But I have to agree with Elmo about her smile.

But If you find me some good looking and naked girl telling me about new video games trends and strategy tips without sounding like a geek or broad I surely would be interested. I think I would pay a subscription fee for that. No not like NakedNews but something similar, more related to games actually.

Sure. She's pretty. And I'm happy to believe she's a real geek. I'm not getting into that misogynist "not a real geek-girl" bullshit. But, I have seen nothing to indicate that she's talented, funny, insightful, or has an opinion with any authority behind it that I should listen to and consider.

I don't see the point here, it's perfectly legit to ask for credential if someone aims to be a source of information.

On the Escapists website I'm interested in Zero Punctuation and the Jimquisition, both of the "Stars" provide them if you actually care to look for them.
If you start complaining about someone asking about credentials of some arguably good looking woman you seriously haven't understood the concept of gender equality one tiny bit.

Maybe she has the creditials as "best looking boobies" on the escapists or she has a PHD in Philosphy, probably both but if she starts claiming stuff in her shows she should be able to provide some form of background of herself. Otherwise this is just poor journalism.

She is a former child actor who used to work for Nickelodeon in the 90's on shows like All That, Zoey 101(with Jamie Lynn Spears) and the Amanda show(with Amanda Bynes) turned internet geek content creator and host who had stints with The Game Station(a youtube partnership network which has such works with people like Totalbiscuit, Jessie Cox, Angry Joe, Wow Credor, Dodger, and Husky to name a few) now called Polaris doing reviews as well as recapping the news and now is part of The Escapist.

What credentials would you have to provide to make lists like "cutest redheads" or "top 5 giant robots". It's just entertainment, if it doesn't entertain you then that's another story. Calling something that isn't even intended to be journalism as being "poor journalism" is pretty silly.

Well, why does the show exist... Frankly you could ask the same question about other internet media, there's a lot of it so at least some is likely to be shit. I don't like most of the Escapist's content anyway, but Screw Attack used to produce similar lists from time to time and I kinda liked those.
