I remember really liking it. I didn't particularly hate the story, even for that one thing that I won't mention for fear of spoiling the game. The only thing that I can say bothers me is that the game was linear instead of metroidvania styled, which was a really really fucking stupid choice. Again though, it was a fun game, all around pretty good.

But then again, I played it when I was pretty young, and I had never played the original. I'd like to know which I should play before replaying the reboot/sequel again to refresh my memory; rearmed or the original? Rearmed 2 sucks but I haven't really touched rearmed 1. I know that the first was made by Grin and 2 was made by some nobodies.

And why did they take his glasses and red short hair? It looked badass...

So, opinions on Capcom's 2009 Bionic Commando remake and sequel?

I played it during release and I was surprised of how much I enjoyed it. Today I doubt I would enjoy it and the original(s?) are too much NES for my taste but that's me, I would probably try the original just to see how they're.

Rearmed is fun but really hardcore at moments (I hate bosses).

I really enjoyed the 3D game, it was fun. Note that I had access to the original skin (I think thanks to completing the rearmed game) and I put it directly.
