I would like to take advantage of GOG users tech knowledge to help me decide what to buy. I need two units for different purposes. Please bear in mind that I’d like to keep costs down. So I’ll start with requirements, they are:

Both will be or need:
- Mainly for internet.
- Able to stream from youtube etc
- Be able to run skype (I believe Chromebooks can’t do this)
- Keyboard essential, either attached or docking station (not touchscreen)
- Preferably 11” screen or above
- Able to print from various formats (unlike the Kindle Fire)
- Webcam/Mic/Speaker
- No OS preference

Not required:
- Gaming capability (other than basic titles). I’m pretty sure a dedicated graphics card is not required.
- Office, other than the facility to print from online documents

=================================
2nd unit as above other than:
- The option to add MS office AND/OR Is it right that a basic version is available online for free? Are there any GOG user recommended alternatives?
- Able to handle lots of open windows and frequent streaming

A few things I just don’t understand!
- Chromebooks, tablets and Netbooks all seem to have a significantly slower processor and less ram. Is this a reflection of the speed/capability of each unit or is it that laptops generally have a lot more processes running to keep up with.

- In addition to the above, how is it possible to measure just how responsive each unit is? For instance, how can I tell what’s faster at opening internet pages/documents/streaming videos between a laptop and tablet/chromebook/netbook?

Thanks and as always, any feedback is genuinely appreciated.
