Lands of Lore - The Throne of Chaos was my first RPG. I'm very glad it was, because it's one of those rare RPGs of the early 90's that was easy for a newbie to get into. I think it's the perfect example of streamlining done right: the basic gameplay is uncomplicated, but it still doesn't assume the player is an idiot. I still play the game every now and then and it still gives me challenge. I think it's a remarkably well aged game and I wish more people would play it.
