Anyone tried it?
I am in love.
I enjoyed the original, though very much on the basis of its inherrent fun and zanyness rather than it being a real quality game in itself. This one though, that fun is amped up even more and the rest of the game seems to have been drug along. The grapple and parachute are even more insanely unrealistic and exciting, the shooting is much improved and the UI and menu are nicely polished and AAA looking.
The PC port is very well done as well, with the nVidia physx crap turned off it runs very well on my middle-ground system and looks freaking ACE. V-Synch sucks though, it wants 30fps or 60 and nothing in between, but I can tolerate the tears for silky smooth gameplay. Mouse aim is perfect, lots of options, great textures.
This demo is pure win in my book.
It's not a port haha

dev says: "The PC version is absolutely not a port. This was a conscious decision early on and has meant that the PC version has been developed in parallel with the consoles as a project in its own right. We wanted to support and reward PC gamers who have stuck with the platform and upgraded their software and hardware to the latest specification. "
V Sync is lame anyway. I turn it off for all games cause its always a big performance hit. Barely get any tearing.

I've just had half an hour of pure and fun win. :D
EDIT: Reminds me of when I got the demo for Carmageddon and kept playing it over and over until I bought the game itself.
But, back then I didn't have so many games yet to finish... XD

I enjoyed it for the 7 minutes I played it before it crashed. Now whenever I try to run it it crashes at the opening cutscene.
Not so stable for me. It's a shame, because I loved Just Cause 1.

All drivers udpated? It needs the newest apparently.
Installed and will be checking it out later.

Just Cause you're having problems doesn't mean we all are! :)

Yep. I tried redownloading it. Maybe that will help.

Surely you can't think defending this game is a Just Cause. =P
Yeah, I was looking forward to this, and the demo confirmed my desire to buy. Just debating where to buy from. Steamworks either way, so retail is as viable. And only Europe has the LE with all the DLC.
64-bit can kiss my skinny ass. my 3gb of ram are fine where they are.

Who said anything about 64-bit? This game doesn't have a 64-bit version.

DX 9 is a lie. Its incompatible with anything pre-vista.
Tried it, think I'll pass.
