There isn't really any "popping out" in the Dark Fall games. It's more of a tense spooky atmosphere, where you know there's something evil around, but nothing ever pops out...I don't like pop-outs, either. :)

Fantasysci5: I love fantasy/medieval settings, which is why Gothic 2, Spellforce, and the Guild, appeal to me.

I've read reviews on both, and I haven't really heard that the stories/characters can intice me to play.
People have been telling you that Gothic II is a brilliant RPG. What more do you want? I mean, at some point you have to make up your mind.
I'm sorry if I'm being hard, I don't mean to be.

"Gothic 2" might be an awesome RPG game, where the mechanics are awesome, I just haven't heard much of if the story/characters are worth it. That said, however, I can tell I'm being thick headed, and I didn't mean to frustrate anyone, so please do accept my apology. I'm definitely buying The Guild and Gothic 2, now, and I'll probably pass on Spellforce, although that's the only one I'm still debating.

Again, sorry. :(

Well... you don't owe anyone an apology... :-)

I just think that when a game costs less than a single bottle of beer at your nearby hipster bar, it's kind of a moot point.

Remember, things are tight, especially if you are in college (or a homeless drug addict) (both hard career choices, really) but next month when you are looking at your budget to choose between doing laundry or buying pizza, that $2.50 will be a distant memory that has no impact on the present decision.

Plus, your avatar is cute, so wink at an IT nerd and get a free meal. That's how I eat ;-)
Thanks Honey. And you're right, of course. :)
