anyone remember this on the amiga and is there any chance we will see it on GOG
If there wasn't a DOS version then no. None. Your best bet would be an Amiga emulator.
wow ok i remember that being one of my favourites in the early ninties
I know for a fact it had a DOS release, my wifes dad played it all the time and he didn't have an Amiga.
There is a DOS version of this game.

It looks like Cinemaware has made at least some of their old games available on their web page. Perhaps what you're looking for is there?

When I saw this thread title I immediately thought of this (fast forward to 8:24).

Ugh, I hated that game. It was great at some parts, but the time travel codes got really annoying, and the part where you have to go through the zero-g skating rink was REALLY frustrating since you died 99% of the time.
Oh god, I remember playing this game when I was what ... 11 years old, or about that. It completely freaked me out fighting those big ass ants where you had to shoot their antennae off to kill them. Seriously, it was the most chilling game I had played at the time.
I never got anywhere in it though, couldn't figure out what precisely to do, although I think I made it as far as the hospital escape part once.
Certainly a memorable game, although I don't think it has stood the test of time.
Wait, what came from the desert?
Cinemaware games are and were awesome, Wings, It Came From The Desert, Rocket Ranger, Defender Of The Crown... awesome stuff
I'd definitely buy a cinemaware collection (with all the games) if it showed up here.
ICFTD was difficult as hell, because it ran in "real time", meaning stuff happened at various locations, and people moved around and did things, regardless of whether you were there to witness it or not. That meant you had to play through it a lot of times in order to find out where to go when. And if you wound up in the hospital, you lost precious time while stuff kept happening outside.
As you can see in the attachment, there was an advantage to ending up in hospital
I'm not sure it was his SKULL that was throbbing...

As mentioned above, you should go check out their web page as the are giving most of their old games away for free. Grab a good Amiga emulator and check them out. You can also get 'Antheads' (more of an add-on than a sequel) which was not ported to the PC.
