I notice that the number of upcoming games is down to 2, and TOCA 3 is set to be removed from the service.
Is everything ok with GOG or is it just a quiet period?

There have been times when there were no games at all on the "coming soon" list, and they still launched new games every week. It's just that they don't always announce it ahead of time. Often it's a surprise :-)
So yes, there is no indication that GOG is anything but okay.
They've already stated that they have a good supply of hitherto unannounced games to release, both 90s classics and newer titles, so I shouldn't be worried.
Just as an example, we still don't have Splinter Cell available, which we know is coming eventually, but isn't on the current list of "coming soon" games. The loss of TOCA is just because of the terms of the licensing agreement GOG made with Codemasters. We were always going to lose it eventually, we just weren't told when until now.
I have to say there have been plenty of games released which were not on the to be released list so I don't worry that GoG is falling apart at all. Infact they have some good titles and not all their releases are that old (Sacred for example) and they appear to be good at getting companies to sign on to the scheme.
This one example of a lost game is a sad thing but its not world ending and I am sure GoG have done all they can to keep the game open for sale through the site.
Thanks for the replies :)
GOG is the best competition that Steam has (in my opinion), in fact Steam could learn a lot about how digital distribution should be done.
It would be a real shame to see it fade away - but hopefully that never happen.

I didn't know they took games off of GOG once they were on it.
Where did you hear they are going to take TOCA 3 off of GOG? When are they going to do it?

They state that TOCA is now 50% off for the weekend. The game will be removed on midnight, May 29th. Apparently this has been part of the agreement GoG had to make with the publishers. It's a one-off thing for TOCA and probably won't happen to many other games, if any.
Just to be totally clear: TOCA 3 will only be removed from the public catalog; the GOG staff have stated that anyone who purchased it at any time before the deadline can continue to download and play it after that date as if nothing had happened.

Which truly stinks, because TOCA is a great series and TOCA 3 is an excellent game, and I think everyone here should play it.

Really? Why would they make it only temporary, though?

Who knows, but it's what Codemasters wanted.
What about the other 2 games, 1nsane and flatout, why are they getting booted off gog?

They're not. They're just part of the promo.

Ah ok, sorry, my reading skills seem to be off right now.
