I tried the Evil Genius demo back in the day and it did seem like fun, but major graphical glitches made me lose interest. Maybe I should revisit it one of these days.
You know what would be funny?
Motivate all PC-Gamers to buy Garshasp to piss Sony off. Because then the game would be more successful on the market than their GoW III.
Operation "THIS! IS! PERSIA!"

michaelleung: Maybe a there could be a government-funded sandbox game where you throw the Koran at heathens? Grand Religious Brainwash? A turn based strategy game where you attempt to overthrow a peaceful monarchy and attempt to rig elections and kill people who are peacefully protesting in the streets? Maniacal Dictator Tycoon?

How about the Suicide Bomber Game?

I'm really excited to see more videogame developers sprouting up world wide. Since most games are created in Japan or the USA, they tend to often have similar ideas and settings. I like when other countries bring in something fresh. A few examples:
Norway: The Longest Journey
Chile: Zeno Clash
France: Indigo Prophecy
Each of these games felt very unique, and I think that may partly be because they were coming from other cultures. Maybe not. Hopefully Iran can bring something new to the table as well.

Denmark: Hitman
Well, it was new and innovative when the first one came out.

Oh god! I'd completely forgotten about that :-o
I even saw it played LIVE at the 1992 Amiga Expo in Copenhagen. People from the audience were invited to play against the computer, and Trine Michelsen (the model from the game) undressed live on stage in time with her Amiga counterpart.
And THAT could never have happened in the US, I think. I was 15 at the time, and no one seemed to mind :-D

Wishbone: I was 15 at the time, and no one seemed to mind :-D

Of course they didn't, they were probably too preoccupied to bother about a 15-year-old dude.

Well, right at that moment, they probably were. What I meant was that no one thought anything of arranging such a show at an event bound to be swarming with youngsters down to the age of 12.

You know that Ubisoft is run by French? And look at their games today 8/
Till 2005 I agree to be good, but afterwards, nah.

This thread is, for some reasons, reminding me that I want to see an english version of Inquisitor.
I am quiet honest, the game's idea isn't really that innovative. I mean, it's just God of War, but on a Persian (Warrior Within) setting for the PC. Just like Yahtzee bashed the GoW-ripoffs for the consoles off:

But i can somehow sympathyse the developers with the possible back ground idea. The game is directed at the Iranian youth clearly, to find a figure to associate with. I know it due my studies into Iranistic that old mythological figures became more or less national heroes every non-fanatic Iranian associate with since they are representations of the Persian soul the Islam never could destroy, for instance the hero Rustam. I'd suggest you to get the Kingsbook for 15 bucks at Amazon and read the 800 awesome pages of epicness, but at any rate, I think this is a call of a new age in Iran, no matter that it's just a game.
A call where the youth should be like their ancestors, rise up and take down the wicked and corrupted so to speak in order to free themself from their 2000 years old torment of tyranny.
Well, I'll maybe buy this game because I enjoy GoW-copies, but if people outisde Iran would buy it, this could clearly boost the national morality in the Persians.
