Leroux: The void is currently 60% off at GamersGate, too, but I always shied away from it since the retail version had some horrible DRM, IIRC, and GamersGate just displays "Other DRM". Does anyone who owns the GG version know what that "Other DRM" is? And is it safe to assume that "Windows" means "DRM-free" when Indie Royale is concerned or is it possible that that version comes with some kind of DRM, too?
I bought it a while ago, installed and played it, there is no drm at all. No activation code or serial number.

Hm, in that case I guess I could just buy The Void from GG when the time is right and I actually have the hardware to run it, provided I'm still curious about it then. Thanks!
Thanks for the heads up cause it was an insta buy!
I've lost my interest in indie game bundles .
People should get it just for The Void. Great game, relatively new, weird and difficult, but never really became known.
I bought the bundle for Dead Pixels.
It is a just-released zombie-shooter with pixelated graphics which does not require SM 3.0 (not so obvious, even with dreadfully-looking games, like Cthulhu Saves the World).

I will be happily running to the right and killing zombies, like every rational person should do.
Everything I've seen about The Void makes it look really cool, so I guess I'll take this chance to grab it.
Got it only for The Void and Dead Piwels. The Ship more or less wanted, the rest as bonus. Nice bundle.
Has anyone tried out Laser Cat, 1000 Amps and Dead Pixels yet? I wonder how well they would perform on a netbook? I read that Dead Pixels had some occasional framerate issues on the XBox and that 1000 Amps is a flash game; that doesn't sound like good netbook compatibility, depite the simple look of the games. What do you say? Btw, does Indie Royale specify any system requirments for the games? I couldn't find any on the page.

The Void is really great. I just can't grasp why it isn't on GOG yet!

spinefarm: Me included :D
Check out my latest giveaway. It is not nearly as unfair as the last one (no overly specialized knowledge needed), and the void is one of the games that you can pick.

I haven't seen any system requirements on the indie royale page.

1000 Amps requirements (from steam):
Processor: 2 GHz Memory: 256 MB
Hard Disk Space: 6 MB Additional: Flash Player 10

Dead Pixels is based on XNA 4.0 which makes for much too high system requirements. Thankfully the author did some good things with the engine and made it work on older graphics cards. At least, it works nicely on my integrated Radeon Xpress 200M. There are a lot of resolutions to choose from.

LaserCat is XNA-based too. Its only graphic option is 'toggle full screen', so I guess it might be a quick x360 port too :D But it works nicely on my machine.

It all depends on your system specs, I got them to work on my oldie laptop with Intel C2D 1,86ghz, 1gb ram, and integrated Radeon. But these games certainly require more firepower than the screens would suggest.

Well, like I said, I'd like to play them on a netbook, not even a real notebook, so my system specs are very low for gaming: Intel Atom CPU N455 @ 1.66 GHz 1.67 GHz, 1GB RAM, Win7 Starter 32-bit, Intel Graphics Media Accelarator 3150. Judging by what you wrote, it doesn't look like the games would be much fun to play on the netbook, which is a shame since I think the small screen would suit them better and they'd probably work better as casual games for passing some time while traveling.

The Void for steam. If only death really were that colorful.
I think ill buy it for The Void.

The Ship is an AMAZING multiplayer game, i bought it when it came out, it was the first game i bought directly from Steam (had other games on Steam, but i bought them on retail). It has a great concept, which you will not find in any other game.

However it suffers from one huge problem, there are NO players. Its dead. Which is a shame, because this game is REALLY great.

To those that dont know it, you get a target to kill, but you cant just go and murder him, you have to use stealth, otherwise youll either end up in jail or get caught by the one youre trying to kill. And to spice things up a bit you have to satisfy your biological needs every now and then, which means you have to eat, go to the bathroom, sleep, take a shower, and that makes you an easy target, so you got to keep your eye peeled. You are always hunting and being hunted.
