Or can you? As it happens, I have a extra giftable copy of Omerta - City of Gangsters IN STEAM, and if you're interested in it, here's your chance.

All you have to do is to write down below who, in your opinion, is the most fleshed out and best written video game character, and why.

That's all. Oh, and if big bad steam gets your panties in a bundle, you might want to inform me that you're not in, as previously stated, it's a steam copy.

I'll let my wife pick the best answer in a few days, and then send the game to the winner.

Good luck and thank you.
The best well written and fleshed out video game character imo is solid snake, just from a perspective of length of series and detail. =)

Thanks for the chance for the GA. +1

Max Payne, in all his evolution. He is sure one of the most memorable and complex character in videogames history.

Many thanks for the chance. ;)

There are a lot but i would say , Gordon Freeman , simply amazing crowbar and hasn't spoken a single line across all his games yet our experience with him has taken to some super moments , Also Give us hl3 valve

Thanks for the giveaway knee
Not in, but I have to point out that Sandro (HOMM) is definitely and litteraly the most Fleshed Out character there is. There may be some holes in his story but it's plain planned misinformation. On the other hand the holes in his body are perfectly normal.

More than a character, he's a living (yeah I know ... ) concept. And *it's* a lich.

In my opinion Scarlet Lake from Alpha Protocol is one of the best written video game chars.
Of cause I can´t post the complete reason (would include too many spoilers), but she´s a very good example for a person who sucessfully tries to hide that she´s in real very closed and quiet while showing the complete opposite if she meets a stranger.

Oh, and I´ve already got Omerta here on GOG, so I´d like to be in for Recsam511 instead!

They were all dead. The final gunshot was an exclamation mark on everything that had led to this point. I released my finger from the trigger, and it was over.

Not In

Handsome Jack from Borderlands 2. His character always had something interesting and entertaining to say, but at the same time you hated his guts. The more you listen to him, the more you hated his character. This is what a villain should be like.

Thanks, I'm in!
For me, the best written character is Solid Snake.
It's a human character, he kills enemies but only because he must do it, he hates war but he must fight, he was dying but still he wants complete his mission.
He's a great character and simply I love it.
Thanks, not in
Alice Elliot from Shadow Hearts.....
I'm in.

Joe from Mafia II.

Joe loves women and doing things that are fun. He has his own unique style when it comes to appearance that reflects his personality. He is always there for you when you need him like a best friend. He makes you feel like you are important to him(you are his best friend). Sometimes, he's angry, sometimes he's depressed. He makes mistakes. One day, he can be almost invincible gangster, another day, he can be very weak like a baby. He can get confused etc. Very life like character.

I'll go with GLaDOS - one of the most critically adored games of recent memory is completely dependent on the subtle pacing, menace and wit of a single character. Portal 2 then fills out a lot of back story without wrecking the original.
+1, in for Recsam511

I have to say Jade from Beyond Good & Evil is a contender. It's her inner character and her interaction with the surrounding world that make the whole premise work. It helps that she lives in a game world just as meticulously crafted.
Most "fleshed out"? I'd go for the assassin droid HK-47 from Knights of the Old Republic, since all "meatbags" should die...

Ahemm, anyway... thanks for the giveaway and +1.
There are a lot of them from Bioware and Obsidian. (Garrus, Boone, etc) but I'll select Dak'kon from Planescape: Torment simply because I found him to be among the most interesting, even if he wasn't as 'fleshed out' as some of the others.
