I agree with you.
And i really hate the implications of what i'm about to say, but it's the truth.
No one is safe from something like this after posting personnal stuff on the web.
Forget if the people on the pics look like this or like that. Anyone of us can be ripped to shreads on the web for a picture a vid or even a statement. Yes, it's a shitty world but we have to make due with it untill we have a new one to f*** up. Untill then people should learn to protect themselves and their own feelings before starting to upload personnal stuff.
Should people make fun of this couple ? No.
Is that a realistic expectation ? Please...
While in a perfect place this couple should be able to post their pics online without a care in the world, we don't live in a perfect place.
Their friends should have found a nice way to advise them against posting the pics on a public network, especially when is just so damn easy to grab them and completely take them out of context.
I'm sorry for them (not for who or how they are, but for this episode), and I'm sorry that by now they probably learned the hard way that private stuff should remain private unless they are ready to deal with this kind of thing.
The only thing that could have prevented this is if the pics had remained in the couple's HD and shared with family and friends.
The moment the pics landed on the web it was just a matter of time...
Edit: bad use of double negative. My bad.
