Cheesy voice acting aside, Spellforce is pretty good. Some tips posted in this thread.

to some people, the guild is an addiction more than a game.

Ok, it's Saturday morning, I have a bacon sandwhich and I'm about to experience 'The Guild'.

I don't know about The Guild, but Spellforce is a pretty good game.

I played The Guild, and I was surprised to find all of the really cool trades in the game. I'm thinking of funning a Thieves Guild because most of my avatars fall in the stealth genre. I still haven't download Painkiller Black Edition because it will take like 6 hours. Can someone tell me the difference between religions in The Guild? Does it affect the game-play at all, or is it just a family tree thing?

SpellForce is a nice blend of RTS and RPG.
The Guild is pretty good (indeed, if you're not careful, it becomes an addiction :-)). Check out this thread for the seriousness of it on some people.

That is just a way to have one more thing for which to take others (or, in some rare cases, others may take you) to the court, because not following the city's religion is considered a crime.
