...you were probably wanting a video game for an answer though! Metroid Prime, a shooter/platformer. I really enjoyed that one. There are a bunch of other hybrid games I've played and enjoyed, but the hybrid elements are so small, or the game falls behind Metroid Prime.

(yes it's not pure strategy,let's not forget the rpg traits that heroes have,although toned down from the alha builds (they weren't even going to have base building etc etc,those were added in later,because of farcry from blizzard fans :P)

I know it's not exactly what u asked,but I wanted to point it out,nobody agrees with me that it's a hybrid game,of sorts :P


+ a similarly,but more hybradly (:P) game is the king's bounty games,although mostly strategy it has big rpg elements in it :)
