Has anyone played this game before? It's a 2d sidescroller that, in addition to the singleplayer, lets you play co-op with a friend, or deathmatch. The gameplay is quite simple: you play as either beast or human, with varied objectives, and you can hide, crawl, do a lot of jumping, and basically just create huge explosions and bang bang effects
The game was very underrated for its time, never getting the reception that it deserved - awesome soundtrack, great sound effects, neat visuals, and high replay value. AFAIK not a lot of people have played it before. Any of you here tried it?
No, I've never played it, or even heard about it. Which platform are we talking about?
I did, but only a demo. Not too interesting, though.
Sounds similar to Gunstar Heroes, which is a favourite of mine.

I don't know about the demo, but what didn't you find interesting about it?
This is my favourite music from the soundtrack

Some of the levels really go well with the music. For example, there's one level pounding this music at the start, with the beast hunting you down. You have to just keep running and dodging the traps, while destroying any potential monsters in your way. It's very tense, very cool
I remember some of the stages being too difficult though. At one stage, you have to face off two beasts or something as the human Jake. In another stage, as the beast, you are armed with a club and have to escape prison

Same here I played the demo but not bought it, 2 player mayhem was good.
Here's a video I found

Yea the deathmatch was nasty. The beast Gareth had the advantage of speed and strength, so it was very easy to pound your opponent if he's Jake. When I played this in my younger days, I let my bro choose Gareth because he wasn't that good. I still ended up owning him with the element of surprise though - which is what Jake is very good at, especially when you have grenades
