hi guys, im wondering isn't there some sort of gog newletter etc that informs you of new releases and other news (like the supposed big upcoming gog deal that was signed). while i love gog, i dont wanna check back every day but i dont wanna miss out either (i had no idea sanitarium was released and would have liked to know the moment it was! :D )
i looked for a newletter (and i think i even have a checkmark) but i dont really receive any news from them.
thanks for any comments

The newsletter doesn't come out every day or anything like that, it just comes out every now and then. Following gog on Twitter is a good way to keep up.
I rarely ever get a newsletter from GOG. I think honorbuddy has your best answer in the twitter suggestion. Otherwise just check the main page.
twitter/facebook
I get emails every time they have a release or sale, I don't remember signing up for it though since I normally decline. It might be automatic after a sale
Twitter, follow the GOGstaff as well for hints.
Facebook is another.
The Newsletter just for game releases.
And of course, this community forum for occasional buzz.
bzzzzzzzzzzzz
There's one
I just looked and the newsletter options are in My Account & the Account & Settings tab
Also, don't forget the feed. Plug it into [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_feed_aggregators]your [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aggregator]aggregator and you'll be notified every time there's an update on the front page.
EDIT: Well, _should_ be. For some reason it doesn't seem up-to-date at the moment.

Look at the bottom of your My Account page: https://www.gog.com/en/myaccount/
You should see the following on the left:
I want to receive e-mails from GOG.com
[ ] announcement newsletter [ ] promo newsletter
Just tick the boxes you are interested in.

Sure, if the signal-to-noise ratio were better.
Can I get my newsletter by pigeon post?

Ask GOG to implement RFC1149
Bill im going to call you that since you sound like a Bill.
Bill, its simple, Twitter is nice... blah blah, but it lacks that personal touch. Facebook, now thats an up to dat blog fest where anything they do is posted, there are polls which interact with the community, and they give away free GOG's all the time. Free GOG's on twitter sure why not, but twice in a month?
Facebook is the best IMO ^_^

I generaly prefer the RSS to follow news from a website. I think it's a very simple and easy (at least with Safari) way to have all the news without having to check everywhere else.
Why would I have to go to Twitter and/or Facebook just to see what's new on GOG?
