I am adding another printer I've found to compare, Epson Stylus Photo P50. According to Epson it can print on CD. There is no word in printer specs how heavy paper can be but Epson lists 300g paper in accessories as compatible on some pages. There are 6 colors of ink but I do not know if they are dyes or pigments (one time Epson lists them as dyes, second time as pigments).... There are two versions of inks: 7.4ml (according to numbers I've found - not on Epson page - it should be enough to print 250 pages) and 11.1ml (again not official - for 470 pages). I will list low prices I've found for bigger ones.

Starting costs:
- Epson Stylus Photo P50 = ~600pln (~$188)
- 6 inks, ~55pln/ea = ~330pln (~$103)

Cost of prints (I do not know if I've calculated them right?):
- 0.12pln ($0.04) / text page (without cost of paper)
- 0.70pln ($0.22) / color page* (without cost of paper)

*) isn't is too high compared to PIXMA iP4950?

Just to resolve my topic: I've decided to go with Canon's printer (without scanner as I couldn't find build-in one with at least the same specs as my current one).

Good thing is that it comes with full set of ink so in reality I paid almost nothing for machine. Thinking that way it could be also easier to replace it in future (instead of buying another set of ink I could buy another new printer, even different one)

BTW: I've seen that Epson is going to release in Europe first printer with factory build-in CISS named L100. Could be nice option in the future for me. In Poland it was announced on February 1st and should be available on March/April.
