hedwards: From what I remember it was a lot of raging against CDPR for allegedly waiving their right to sue by releasing the game DRM-free. Ultimately, they did fold on it, but not because there was any objective evidence of wrong doing on their part.
I found especially the raging hilarious as if CDPR, of all companies, should not try to catch pirates or feel bad their game is being pirated, because releasing their game(s) DRM-free must have meant they are fine with people pirating the games?
Where the heck is the logic in that argument? Just because I e.g. let you borrow my car, does not mean I shouldn't oppose you selling that car to someone else, or you breaking it intentionally.
I think it is a similar line of thinking as we do sometimes see messages here from newbies (or trolls) asking whether it is ok to share GOG games to everyone, as GOG is not trying to technically (=DRM) prevent that. Do these people really lack common sense?
