Maybe Galimatias got a real life and finally left the internet? ;-)
The most important thing is: Galimatias is "deleted" while Cook is still vital.
That could be only for one reason - some dispute on top.

Odd that it wasn't announced and the account has been renamed that way. I can't say for sure, but Cook's account wasn't deleted, was it?

True. But if someone is involved in the community like Galimatias was and GOG is as customer-focussed as we like to believe they are then you'd have thought he would have got a farewell message of some kind, even if it wasn't on the front page. Some kind of acknowledgement.

That and the whole "DELETED" thing suggests to me that either he really pissed off the wrong person or he's currently doing his own version of the GOG PR stunt.

That's really weird. The only times I've ever seen the "DELETED_" prefix here was with Chinese spammers whose accounts were permabanned. If Galimatias left the team, they could have just removed his blue privileges instead of erasing his account. I hope this doesn't mean he was fired.

I'm curious about this too, but this is someone's job we're talking about here. It's his relationship with his co-workers (whether former or otherwise), and I assume that it's quite a big part of his life. If he has left under a cloud, I know if I wer him I'd be pretty pissed off if people started a public discussion behind my back about what happened.

As I said, I'm also curious, but as there is a significant indication that something did happen, we should back off from this. He's our friend.

I don't post just because of curiosity. I liked his posts - they were helpful. And he went/was gone without a goodbye... (as so many do...)

Don't their posts just get erased? How do you see the prefix?

Hopefully it is just an oddity that Gal has DELETED_ next to his name or he himself put that next to his name as a joke (kodeen: coming out of beta ... nicely done sir). But if he is gone, best of luck to him in his future endeavors.
