Who here plays?
Mostly just curious because I'm a casual player and could be good to pick the brains of experienced people.
And because I enjoy it and discussing various builds, accomplishments, and just generally because I like it.

OMG You too? I LOVED Guild Wars, Factions, and Nightfall. I don't have Eye of The North, but I'm going to get it as a bridge towards GW 2. My best friend hates GW, but he can't wait for GW2.
Not sure what I think about GW2... It seems to be heading towards the standard MMO formula with a few variations.
But oh well I will still probably try it.

i played it for 5 hours then went on to more real games and not the matrix in disguise!!!
I have it but I hardly play it. I hate post-sear.

i'm not saying it's bad just mmorgs have far too much grind and little reason to do the grind tbh

Guild Wars is a little different. You can still grind but you never NEED to. You can go through the stories if you wish. And they a long enoug to justify the cost of the game and as there are not subscription fees you don't need to worry about wasting money after finishing the stories.
And I grind/farm a bit at times. Mostly I just experiment a bit with builds and try to vanquish areas - Vanquisher is a title. You need to kill everything in an area on Hard Mode (enemies are a LOT stronger and several levels higher than you) to get 1 point in the title. Can be fun.

Tried t for a few weeks when first released was fun but then i upgraded my computer and it kept crashing after that so never went back
The most meaningful part of this game, for me, was soloing quests that weren't supposed to be soloed, and killing enemies, that weren't supposed to be killed. But I quit before reaching level 20. Online Games are repetitive even without grind, although Guild Wars made a honest effort to change that.
as zp (zero punctuation) puts it "grind is the only thing mmorgs have going these days."
