I got two invites from le Google but I can't use it here because I live in Hong Kong. Even if I have a T-Mobile number.

Aliasalpha: Wonder what the laws are regarding VOIP services. From what I remember reading the telecomms laws in most countries only apply to phone companies. There might be a new set of legal issues regarding privacy

One of the big debates on VOIP is 911 calling. Since by calling via the POTS it is directed to your local 911 center by location, where are you if you call via VOIP?

Google voice is awesome! My co-worker's cell phone died after being dropped for the 10th time... Anyway, he had a important call he needed to catch, so he just added his work phone and was able to speak to the person calling him. Very nice, I say get an invite if you can.
