Wondering if anyone knows of a site like GOG (unlimited downloads, no DRM, etc.), but for movies. If its not out, someone seriously needs to make it. I'd love it. :)

As awesome as that would be, do you know how hard it would be to convince the movie companies to release movies DRM free? I'm sure they have enough trouble letting iTunes have it, and that has DRM.
But hey, we can always wish ;D

For older movies, I don't see why this would be such a problem...
It should be called GOBM.com, "Good Old B-Movies" and feature all those clasically bed sci-fi/horror movies from the 50s & 60s where the token dog is smarter than all the human characters put together.
I do not know, but on another forum I saw this link for selling your MP3 Files.
Bopaboo
Having user rights is a good thing and I hope this site does not get shut down somehow.
maybe this should be in its own thread...

Yeah, I meant more or less like GOG -- mostly older classics with the odd newer title. :)
Faithful, I heard about that, seems interesting.

I LOVE B-movies! Horrible dialogue, budgets blown to pieces as soon as a scene actually requires lights, actors whose closest claim to fame is a grant aunt who won a tractor pull one time in the seventies, and a redneck director who's sniffed way too many solvents over the years. All this is completely friggin' essential!
There are some really great (now public domain) B-movies on Archive.org.
Old Black & White Sci-fi and horror stuff has a certain level of nifty to it.
edit: Here is a quicker link for the rest of you

Seconded most heartily! <suck up>Well second favourite after GOG.com of course</suck up>
Excellent linkage Ois! You sir/madam, win 1 internet!
Holy crap, they've got old game playthrough videos on there too! That site is going to destroy my bandwidth caps with it's sheer awesomeness. I thought the 50s cold war propaganda videos was an awesome surprise but then to find I can watch playthroughs of C64 strip poker... Damn that's some fine pixellated booty!
Yeah, they have pretty much a little bit of everything :) I've lost a lot of my monthly limits on it as well.
The WW1&2/communism/cold-war footage is rather interesting. I believe the old Warner-Brothers cartoons on the subject and of the era are there as well. And while many are unavailable without subtitles, you can find footage from Germany and the Russia/USSR(?) did in response to the 'allies'. (It's 2am, and I cant nut out the right time based term in my head. Sorry folks!)
The audio section is just as massive, aside from the concert live sets and recent productions there is some really neat material from as far back as 1890 (yes that's One *Eight* Nine Zero there folks) in the 78rpms section that are rather cool.
There is a small but growing software side, but due to copyright most is unavailable and only listed as preserved. Check back in a decade or so :)
Glad I could introduce you and others to it. :)
