Lucibel: According to Big Download CD Projekt are "in financial trouble". If this was the case I'd guess not. GOG's prices are already ridiculously low.

bansama: I wouldn't worry too much, as if the rest of that article is anything to go by, the author hasn't got a clue of what they are talking about.
Notable gems:
Pricing quoted for Steam is completely incorrect
Steam is not the only service that allows gifting
DRM information for Steam and other services is incorrect
Information regarding Gamersgate's features and catalog is incorrect
The errors in the information would be acceptable had the article been written a few years ago (when the quoted information was near to the state of the services at that time), but considering it's only a few days old; it's terrible.

Lol, fingers crossed.
World of Goo's "pay what you want" results did show that they didn't get much money from low pricepoint sales as it was swallowed up by transaction fees (e.g. Paypal).
Yeah I have to wonder if paypal takes a percentage or a fixed amount. If the former they could make out like bandits on big purchases or the latter they could rake in the cash with a lot of small sales.
That minigolf cockup on steam springs to mind, bought 14 copies at 13c each, if paypal worked on a percentage then valve would have made money but if they charged like $1 per withdrawl...
As far as I know Paypal uses a percentage, however many other online banking services use fixed fees.

bansama: GOG didn't even have a Thanksgiving sale =) They have their normal weekend promo running though. I guess if you're lucky this Monday/Tuesday will see the return of the Hidden Gem.

It would be nice if that returns.

Aliasalpha: Cyber monday sounds like an IP based orgy. Don't get me wrong I like some of you guys but not THAT much

a/s/l?
I'm actually kinda happy that GOG didn't do a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal
Steam's been raping my wallet enough as is this weekend :-(

Indeed. Even the piece on GOG is completely bonkers.

I was this weekend, I bought:
Quantz
Evil Genius
KOTOR
Madballs
Lucidity (Wanting that one for a LONG time!!!)
For I believe a total of $11. I also bought Corporate and Political Machine on Impulse for $4 total. 7 games for $15 is a good deal to me.

I stopped reading after this "The only other service that approaches it for community features is GFWL."

anjohl: Lucidity (Wanting that one for a LONG time!!!)
How's that running for you? I heard it has a lot of issues as far as even being able to run, let alone gameplay issues.

Really? I hadn't heard...I will fire it up tonight and let you know.
Here is an article related to Cyber Monday, for those interested.
More on-topic, I also don't think GOG should have a "Cyber Monday Event"; they are not even based in the USA, so it's not that a particular monday.
Having a new Hidden Gem would be nice, though, regardless of what Monday it is.
I was hoping for a cyber Monday on GOG but then again I was looking for some online Black Friday as well.
Please, no one go to Amazon.com and click Cyber Monday Deals. Because that might jeopardize my chances to get the Tekken 6 Fight Stick Bundle before time runs out.
