I checked my Steam updates pagination, and I saw one of my friends, that I made through GOG.com had joined their Steam group, when noticing it was by invite only I was a little peeved like "who the hell are they to verify who has a jerb and not?" so I wen to their website, and low and behold there was GOG.com advertising.
What a shocker!
Anyway, if you, or someone you know has a story to tell about GOG.com advertising, please share it.
Do you think we'll see T.V. ads for GOG.com?

Since I'm using FF with Adblock, I had to run the bloody IE in order to see it, but you're right, it's really there. What a rare sight. It's ok as long as it's not made in flash.
Also, I doubt there'll be any TV commercials, since they would have to show them on at least a few different stations worldwide in order to get some attention. Besides, It's rather unusual to see a website advertising on TV.
I've seen GOGvertising in a few places, I think on the 'no mutants allowed' fallout site and I'm sure there was one other gaming website I'd seen one on.
Whilst it's not an ad technically, Buesnews usually links to GOG whenever there's something new released.

It's fairly common here to see websites advertised on TV, especially ones created for mobile devices, although such ads are usually late night.

Here in Denmark, there are tons of TV ads for websites. Mainly poker sites, dating sites, and even a bingo site :-/
The only GOG ads that I've seen have been coverage in the US PC Gamer Mag.
I highly doubt that we would ever see TV ads. For what they charge per game and how much they must clear after paying the devs/publishers, that kind of ad budget may not yet be desireable.
I think that the GOG team are looking for more word of mouth advertising than anything else.

Well I know I'll be doing what I can. I'll probably end up putting a link to them on my site for a start =)
As well you should, sir.
or madam.
I'm the only sir in my house. I'm surrounded by 3 women. All of them noisy. None of them gamers. Yet. *sigh*
