Heh, doesn't really matter. Well, I can safely post this. Even tho I have better Oblivion screenshots, this screenshot encompasses the amazing wonderlust I got from Oblivion at that stage, and I have a slight connection to it as it was the first time I have played the henchman. At any rate, story of this one is rather simple, really: Vilja (a companion with some dialogue by Terry Pratchett) got angry that I'm the one in the lead all the time and so I wanted her to take me someplace she likes. As it happens, she has took me over there and instantly wanted to go swimming - it was quite interesting to go explore the river for a change. At any rate, 3 dead slaughterfish later, we have emerged and I have seen the beautiful hills in the distance.

I'm in! +1 KneeTheCap!
Ruling Steelport is serious business. At this point, I had dominated most of the city but killed plenty of fools in the process. I thought this picture encapsulated it from the tower that fell into my control to the billowing smoke that added more of a warfare feel. Clearly this is one lady not to be messed with! Saints Row 3 rocks!

Hello, thanks for the cool event you thought for your giveaway, good sir!
I will try my luck as well so here is my entry :
http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/2955/f3fe.jpg
A frozen cold, lost place up mountain hills.. A man facing the snow storm looking for the distress signal he got from someone, somewhere up there.. A Buddhist (or so it seems) temple to the distance..
This comes from a free game called Continuum.
Link for the game while i'm at it : http://continuum-nad2012.blogspot.com.au/

Curiously enough, I'm not really interested in the game, yet I know exactly what I'd like to share, and I knew it almost immediately. I'm not sure whether I'd simply like to abstain or back another; with such a neat prize, it becomes a tough choice. Regardless, here's the scoop:
Since you never specifically requested the picture be of a personally played game, I picked a single snapshot from a professional StarCraft match. This was literally a single frame, easy to miss and ignore. It was from a brief segment when the broadcast switched to a player's first-person view, rather than its own observer. I've left the overhead information because it provides some important context, namely the player names and the date of the match. Without these, the shot is virtually meaningless.
With them, it is momentous.
You see, this game was played less than a week before these same two players were to meet in a Starleague finals, the Korean Air OSL Season 1. It would pit an ascendant zerg, EffOrt, against the terran FlaSh - the greatest player to play the game, without a doubt; nicknamed "The Ultimate Weapon", later dubbed "God", he made and broke every record there was, and in a field of brilliant competitors and challengers, he was simply in a tier of his own. But for all the pomp and fanfare that event commanded (it was held in an airport hangar, and the players made their entry on air liners :P), this particular game was rather less significant. It was the deciding set of a regular Proleague team match, one of many and one which would decide almost nothing. Still, it gave an intriguing sampling of what was to come.
The shot below shows a moment, late in the game, when EffOrt, the zerg player, is ordering a group of zerglings to simply attack FlaSh's main base. The mini-map is lit green, most bases are taken by EffOrt and are all spawning troops (note the green notification rectangles). There is very little red on the map: FlaSh is cornered, loss seems inevitable.
There's a story being told here, in just this picture. This wasn't a short game, oh no. This was a long, fully fleshed out slug-fest; a macro game, as the parlance goes, and as good a war as StarCraft offers. Just the kind of game FlaSh would be comfortable in, with his impeccable production mechanics and presence of mind. And yet, he's been battered; he's been ground down by EffOrt's ferocious attacks and has been driven to a single mining expansion. All these zerg expansions were not taken without a fight. They were taken, lost, re-taken, traded, harassed. It was in FlaSh's nature to try to out-expand his opponent, then proceed to smother them with his superior production capacity. Here, he's been beaten at his own game. EffOrt is now playing "Sauron zerg", a rarely seen lategame phase, when the zerg can mine off of 8, 9, or more expansions, and use the added spawning capacity to send wave, after wave, after wave of troops at their opponent. There is no control, there is no finesse. Zerglings and ultralisks spawn, they're selected and immediately sent to charge at the enemy base. It is the ultimate manifestation of Zerg! In a way, it's cathartic!
And this is what this frame shows: the simple act of sending a random group of zerglings at the terran base. A little drop in a torrent that is sweeping the map. They are not important, they're not a control group, they will probably die before ever reaching their destinations. It doesn't matter; there are more behind them. The Swarm is sweeping away the last remnants of humanity. The challenger is sweeping away the reigning OSL champion, the best player in the world, the best player to ever play the game. EffOrt is sweeping away FlaSh.

So didn't have any female screenshots since I typically play male characters, I really liked this one though.
My Screenshot Entry
I had spent several hours working with a large group of players working our way up through the hordes of enemies in Isengard and made our way to the top of Orthanc where we met Saruman and when he started talking to me like this in the screenshot I knew I was in trouble since I knew what had happened to Gandalf and here I was trying to fight him myself! Thankfully I had a great group of players in my fellowship and we were able to hold him off long enough to finish the epic quest we had gone into the tower for. Definitely one of my most satisfying quests in the game, facing off with one of the Istari!
I'm not much of one for online games, but I love how Lord of the Rings Online weaves your character into the background of the story in the books without changing the story or breaking the lore of Tolkein's world.

Thanks for the giveaway.
I'll reuse my screenshot from another thread :)
The game is Devil May Cry 4. When Blitz has his shield on you can't melee attack it without taking damage but with a perfectly timed Royal Guard block you're golden.
2 more shots just for fun:
here

Wow, nice! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the two previous titles, and I'm definitely looking forward to Origins.
+1 for your supreme awesomeness!
I'm in, so here's a link to a few screenshots I've stacked together with a small narration. (Hope that's okay.)
It's from the original Neverwinter Nights and it sort of explains itself. Don't know if I'd call it my best work, but it was fun to make and definitely took some time to get the shots and piece them all together in a manageable file size. (The original was 32 MB. o_O)
Thanks again, and good luck to everyone!

I'm interested in Batman.. Almost sexually.
I liked those other 2 games so I want this game also and it might even run.
My picture is from Saints Row IV and she is taking lightning in her ass I guess.
I picked this because I really want to win. =)
At least I kept her bra on.. Which was a horrible mistake.
