gog would you please consider adding a Genre sort to the current drop down selection of "by title" and "by purchase date"?

It would be very helpful to quickly see all games of a given genre, or to keep the shelf sorted by genre.

Since it is how it is set up to buy games it should be good for organizing games personally.

Thank you

Vote for this feature!

This is already available.
It's called "Manual sort"...

I would find this useful for sure, voted for the feature in the wishlist. Thanks for the links triock. As to manual sort Rodzaju, once you're up over 50 games or so, manual sort becomes a frustrating effort imo.

It's a real pain the first time you do it, but once it's done, it's a simple job to slot new games into their place.
I never go to the wishlist so I had no idea about that; thanks for the links.

However, it should not have to be wish listed as this is how gog sells their games. They clearly know about the usefulness of sorting by genre and need to give their users the same features.

Many here have 100+ games, so this is a very needful sort criteria.

Please gog, can you answer to this need?

It would be cool if it let you put virtual Dymo labels on the side of your virtual shelves! (as long as you didn't have to select each letter from a virtual wheel!)
I just noticed this lack of genre sorting. I thought this kind of option already exist since the beginning.

Voted. We need this kind of sorting.

Exactly, genre labels or customizable labels of some sort kinda like a library shelving system where the labels are on the end of the shelves, or the tabs of a filing cabinet as you suggested.
I would love this as well not sure how easy or hard it would be o do.
