I agree. It use to be good back when this thread was created, but now it's kind of annoying. They got rid of most of the good free games too.

I think Metaboli bought Gametap. Maybe that explains the changes ?

No 64-bit support = FAIL

This whole browser plug-in change has been a real cluster. Nothing works quite right. Windows games take forever to start up with no indication that the game is starting until it actually does start. The older non-windows games are now browser games and are windowed!
Gametaps staff is coming up with answers to problems, but it's up to their customers to implement those fixes. So not only are paying customers doing beta testing, we're also applying patches and fixes for them. I have a felling that Metaboli made the changes because they're already paying for a player and didn't want to pay royalities for Gametaps player too.
I have Gametap on three pc's and it's been a nightmare. I've spent more time getting things fixed than actually playing games on the service. I only started to work on my last pc that has 32 bit Vista Ultimate. More problems I have to spend time on instead of playing. My sub ends in October, but I'm really tempted to drop the service early. That is sad because I used to love it. $60 a year is cheap, but if I don't keep the service, I'll just buy mopre games from GOG.

If I was really motivated to upgrade to gold, I'd be playing silent hill 2 and 3 on it.
