Yup, it wasn't interactive, and it sure as hell wasn't a movie.

Well, technically, it was interactive. You made choice A or B, or "just do the right thing in the right time or die".
Even with a minimal "interactivity", you're not (completely) passive like when watching a movie.
But, yes, interactive movies have been an epic fail, mostly because they were created very quickly only to promote the CD support.

Funny how I only ever bought the exceptions :p The only FMV games I owned until I started collecting games, were the Tex Murphy games and Gabriel Knight 2. These were four of only a handful good ones.
