Lou: Congratz on the new desk - Makes me think of when I got my current Desk:

At least 20 years ago - My wife found an old Metal Desk on the side of the road (One of the old heavy metal desks) - Well made and made to last. She got the kids to help her load it in the van took it home and hid it in the garage. Spent months sanding and repainting (without my knowledge) and gave it to me for my Birthday. Still using it to this day. I love it.
I know exactly the desk you're talking about - those things are gonna be dug up thousands of years from now - what will they think?

A counter thingy custom fit by a carpenter to fit in a corner of my room and a crappy cliche 10-year old office chair (complete with a back piece that breaks off every hour or so :P)

May get a new chair next time I'm in Cork, this yoke is as dodgy :P

Both my desk and chair come from Ikea..

My chair is a high-back mesh one and is far more comfortable than the one I had before it. I actually sit in it properly..

My desk, due to space constraints, is writing bureau with the additional shelves on top. This really came in handy when it came to adding 4 monitors as they were very easy to mount in it!

Once the living room is decorated, I will be building a desk using a kitchen counter surface. I used to have a desk like that and it was great! Nice and smooth, great pattern for optical mice and very sturdy/durable.

Hmmm, throne room means something different in Ireland.
No it is just all the one room. We all live in hovels and only eat potato's and drink poteen.:D
My gaming choices are between a bed with a table sticking out of it or a set of horribly uncomfortable chairs designed to accommodate small kids.:/
