Any brown coats in here? I just finished watching all of these and it's quite possibly one of the greatest shows out there... and FOX canceled it. What do you guys think of it?
Sometimes the dialog makes me cringe, and other times I think it's one of my favorite shows. No doubt it's of much higher quality than most shows out there. Also, I think that Nathan Fillion is hilarious - see Slither if you haven't; you might like it.
I think of myself as a mild browncoat, yes. Perhaps it's for the better that FOX canceled it, or we would gaze upon Nathan Fillion forever and ever and ever.
Definitely had its flaws and cringe-worthy moments, but damn, I loved that show.
Die-hard browncoat here. I absolutely loved the mix western/space opera, far more than the Star Wars universe. The movie is bad, though, compared to the show. Too bad it got cancelled...
Awesome show.
It seems like it's Fox's goal in existence to cancel shows that I like before their time.

I'm a huge Space Sci-fi fan but honestly only really watched Firefly for the gorgeous Morena Baccarin.
I realise you have to make allowances as a sci-fi fan to enjoy it but the cowboys in space thing just didn't rest well with me.
Bring back Blakes 7 I say!
I loved it, easily one of my favourite shows. I detested weedon's previous work but something about firefly really worked perfectly
Browncoat here, I love the show. I own 2 copies of the DVD set, so I can have one perpetually loaned out.
I thought was a great show sure some of it could have been done better and some of the dialog was bad but the actors where really good and looking at the gag reel on serinity they seemed to have had a blast making the film.
Fox does not know what makes a good show they just se numbers of viewers as their guiding stick. How many good shows where killed before theiir time.
It was a space opera series that rocked, and thus it must be canceled :P. At least that seems like the trend since Bablyon 5 (barely) finished up. I had high hopes for Battlestar Galactica, but that fell apart after a couple seasons.
Morena Baccarin is is on the show "V" now, Egotomb, but I have no idea if you get that in the U.K. She cut her hair (bleh), but she is still mega-cute. She plays the an evil and manipulative bitch on there, so I doubly like it.
Nathan Fillion is on a series "Castle". It isn't science-fiction, but it isn't half bad for a light-weight cop drama. He pretty much plays comic relief as an author tagging along with detectives.
For some reason though, Jewel Staite was always my favorite on Firefly. I think it was just her 'girl next door' vibe. I think had Summer Glau actually had more screen time (or perhaps just been more 'sane'... has she even had a role yet where she was actually 'normal', however that is defined?), I may have liked her more on Firefly.
I liked Firefly a lot, although I didn't care too much for the direction Whedon went with Serenity (so perhaps it's not entirely bad that the show only ran for one season, at least it kept Whedon from turning it into Buffy in space).

Heh, definitely not too bad to look at, although I tended to prefer Jewel Straite myself (I was quite happy when they brought her onto Stargate Atlantis).
I think it's one of the best shows I've ever watched. Loved it, and Serenity was amazing.

Been watching V really enjoying it! I agree about the hair but that smile still shines through occasionally. Can't wait for the season to restart.

Yeah Jewel is a sweetie isn't she?
Good year for Sci-fi this, we have Caprica just started too, my only wish is that SG universe gets a lot more interesting than it was last year.
