Well, I just finished Fallout 3 GOTY, but of course with Broken Steel being applied, that means that the game continues. But what I am wondering is, is it possible to keep doing the side quests, add-ons and stuff like that? And does Broken Steel affect these in any way?
I apollogize of it is a rather stupid question.

You can do side quests if you enable Broken Still after the end. SPOILER But if you disable Broken Still before finishing the game you are dying at the end. Broken Steel only effects level cap.

Yes you should be able to keep on playing. IIRC it was Broken Steel that not only raised the character level limit but also allowed you to continue playing after the ending.

As far as I know Broken Steel only adds a bunch of NPCs, objects and radio announcements to the world. I had already completed everything before I got BS, but to my knowledge it doesn't remove anything just by being active.
