mystral: That's good news.

So far, I like the game a lot, they've changed just enough from EU 3 to make the game interesting without being completely different, and the only bug I've seen is that achievements don't unlock for me, which I don't really care about.

Thadar: In order for the achievements to unlock, you have to be playing with Lucky Nations on and I believe be in Iron Man mode. That will force Auto Saves every month and such which can get annoying if you are blazing through on high speed..
I'm playing Ironman France at the moment. It autosaves every time there's a battle you're involved in, every decision you make, every diplomatic action you make. Can get annoying if you're involved in many battles.

Seems from here to be a bit of a Paradox( !:D!) that for ironman mode autosaves so much.

McDon: Nice, always liked that in PDS games you had so much variety on how to expand (except for HOI of course) and it sounds like it's main focus is this.
Yeah, you can diplo-annex other nations or integrate those that you're lucky enough to have a personal union with.
You can expand in HOI, just play the major powers, USA, Russia, Germany, Japan.

To be fair though it saves pretty quickly, about a second. Local harddisk saves take slightly longer.

1. You talking about influencing in HOI? You could count it as expanding but it seems more like an alliance than puppeting or having dominion imo. As well, you could annex with decisions...anyway my point was that HOI was sorta limited in options compared to the rest.

2. I meant that Ironman mode was meant to be difficult and that you live with your decisions. Don't understand how it does that with the high amount of autosaves.

1. Regarding diplo-annex and integrate I was referring to EUIV. :)
Yeah, it runs WWII fairly accurately, except when I play Germany always seem to roflstomp Russia. But I've seen people take over the whole world with Russia, conquer the US and Russia with Japan. I took over Europe when I was playing the US but since I was roleplaying the good guy, I released all the European nations. :D

2. You have only 1 save in the cloud. It autosaves on every battle and decision you make so that you cannot simply quit the game and reverse those decisions should you make a wrong one like declaring war on a country who has coalitions with half of Europe against you.

Oh, it autosaves after decisions and battles.....yeah that makes more sense now :P
