Just a question regards the lack of DRM.
Does this mean that the original DRM with games (that had it) has also been removed as games like Colin McRae had the dreaded Starforce built-in (or at least the UK versions did) other games used the equally hated securom etc.
Sorry if this has been asked, but did not see it in the forums.

Well, they specifically say "NO DRM", so I guess that there will be none. It wouldn't really work to leave the old DRM in the games anyway, because the GOG versions obviously don't have any CDs/DVDs, so Securom or Starforce would make it impossible to play.
I'm not from the GOG team, so my statements are only as reliable as they can get for a standard user, but im quite certain that the games on GOG don't have any DRM whatsoever, neither new or old.

Well, my assumption is that 'No DRM' means no DRM at all. Seeing as you can buy the game, DL it and then install it on as many machines as you want, I'd say there's nothing of the sort on the games whatsoever.

I assumed the "no DRM" included any original DRM, not just any "new added" DRM but prefer to check first.

but patches and fan created stuff will be able to add right?

I wish more companies would have the heart to let their games go DRM-free like GOG.com does and Stardock.
If it wasn't for Securom Internet Edition (as I like to call it), I would've bought Mass Effect PC and Spore already.
